Specialized Event Services is a fully insured and licensed Advanced Life Support service providing on-site medical services anywhere in the state of Florida

SES, LLC is dedicated to providing both Advanced Life Support (ALS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) services.

Our operation ensures that each ambulance is staffed with a minimum of one State of Florida – Department of Health certified Paramedic (PMD) and one State of Florida – Department of Health certified Emergency Medical Technician-Basic (EMT).

This staffing model guarantees that both advanced and basic emergency medical needs can be effectively addressed during patient care and transportation.

At the heart of SES, LLC is a clear mission: to be a leader in providing high-quality pre-hospital care and transportation.

We strive to uphold the highest standards of professionalism, leverage the most advanced technologies available, and demonstrate a profound sense of compassion for those we serve during their times of need.

Staff Qualifications

Our Paramedics possess comprehensive training in several critical areas, including Advanced Life Support (ALS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS), and Basic Life Support (BLS). This extensive training equips them to handle a wide range of emergency medical situations, from trauma to pediatric care.

The Emergency Medical Technician-Basic (EMT) is trained in Basic Life Support (BLS) and plays a vital role in assisting Paramedics with critical tasks during emergency responses. This collaborative approach ensures efficient and effective care for all patients.

SES also has its own Medical Director who oversees and directs the medical protocols that our staff follow when providing medical care.

Greg Melvin, Owner

Greg Melvin’s commitment to public safety began at an early age. At just 16 years old, he became a volunteer firefighter, securing written permission from his parents to serve his community. This formative experience ignited a lifelong passion for helping others.

Following his initial role as a volunteer firefighter, Greg enhanced his skills by becoming an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT). His dedication to public service continued to grow, ultimately leading him into a career in law enforcement, where he made further significant contributions to community safety.

Greg’s unwavering commitment to his community and ongoing professional development led him to fulfill his dream of becoming a paramedic. Throughout his career, he has consistently demonstrated a steadfast dedication to serving and protecting others.

In addition to his fieldwork, Greg has been committed to sharing his expertise in both emergency medical services and law enforcement. He has served as an adjunct instructor for two different colleges and has traveled across the United States to provide advanced and specialized training programs for law enforcement personnel.

Moreover, Greg has taught courses in related medical fields, equipping others for the challenges of public safety. His teaching efforts have played a vital role in supporting the professional growth of his peers and enhancing the skills of emergency responders.

In 2024, Greg identified a critical shortfall in emergency medical services within his own community where he lives. At that time, the county operated with only one full-time Advanced Life Support (ALS) ambulance and a single part-time Basic Life Support (BLS) truck. This limited capacity frequently resulted in situations where there were not enough ambulances available to respond to emergencies. As a result, it became necessary to rely on mutual aid resources from neighboring counties to meet the demand for emergency medical response.

To address these urgent needs, Greg founded Specialized Event Services, LLC (SES, LLC). The company was established with two primary objectives. First, SES, LLC aimed to provide an ALS ambulance that could respond to 9-1-1 mutual-aid service calls, enhancing the county’s emergency response resources.

Second, the organization offered “on-site” medical stand-by services for events. This allowed the county’s on-duty ambulance to remain available for 9-1-1 emergency calls, ensuring a faster and more dependable response for residents during emergencies.

In addition to these services, SES, LLC played a supportive role for local hospitals by assisting with interfacility transfers. This collaboration further strengthened the overall medical response capabilities, contributing to improved healthcare outcomes for the community.

Greg continues to serve his community in two significant capacities. He is employed full-time as an Administrative Lieutenant for a sheriff's office and works as a paramedic for his local EMS service, providing advanced medical care and responding to emergencies throughout the area. These dual roles reflect Greg’s ongoing dedication to public safety and his commitment to supporting the well-being of his community.
